Hollywood star George Clooney leads a flotilla of boats to his wedding to Amal Amaluddin

Hollywood actor George Clooney brought Venice to a standstill as he and his guests cruised down the Grand Canal on the day of his wedding.

The 53-year-old actor boarded an iconic wooden Venetian water taxi in his tuxedo surrounded buy an enormous flotilla of paparazzi, guests, tourist and fans who posted their pictures and videos on social media.

The Ocean’s Eleven star remained relaxed while the boat was temporarily held-up as a huge cruise ship blocked their way.

He smiled and waved to onlookers until the convoy could continue to the 5-star Aman Canal Grande Hotel where he married human rights lawyer Amal Amaluddin in front friends and family.

His A-list guests also took to the water for their trip between venues including Bono, Matt Damon and Cindy Crawford.
