Ten years after unveiling the E4, Dutch boat manufacturer Elling/Neptune Marine Shipbuilding have launched a new model this May, the Elling E6. See the pictures here.

Elling have taken their successful E4 and fully re-engineered it and re-styled it to produce something bigger, faster and sleeker: meet the E6!

With an overall length of 65ft, a top speed of 18 knots and transatlantic range, the new E6 is Elling’s biggest yacht to date.

The added length has afforded the boat more room and the interior and exterior have been made more spacious than its predecessors.

Thanks to its sliding sunroof, the E6 has plenty of natural light

The larger pilot house has been given an ‘outside’ feel, with a sliding sun roof to provide plenty of natural light. It also features two helm seats and a double sofa that can accommodate four people.

The living area can host up to eight people comfortably, with lots of space to move around.
Just like the E3 and E4, the E6 offers a second seating area in the lower level, big enough to fit eight.

The galley is roomy and offers all mod cons, including dishwasher, an oven/microwave and a wine cooler.

E6 galley

Spacious with lots of added extras, it’s a great galley to cook in

There are four cabins onboard: a front cabin with queen size bed, a side one with two single beds, a third one that can be used as an office space and sleeps one and a crew cabin with separate entrance, shower and toilet.

There is also room for a dinghy garage on board.

The Elling E6 can optionally be equipped with a Seakeeper Gyro stabilising system: the Seakeeper 9. This system will achieve at least 80% roll reduction of the E6 (also at anchor). We tested it during sea trials and the difference was noticeable. Great news for those suffering from the occasional bout of seasickness!

The E6 is a sturdy, reliable yacht based on Elling’s extremely successful E3 and E4. Its design and specs comprise all the best features of its predecessors with extras and improvements to make the E6 a step up from its siblings, but still very much an Elling yacht.
Just like the E4, the latest yacht can do a 360 degree capsize and self right – just like a lifeboat!

As on the Elling E3 and E4, the noise and vibration level of the Elling E6 will be very low. Even at top speed, the level shouldn’t exceed 70 dBa in the salon and pilot house.

This extremely low noise level will be reached by installing an “Aquadrive” pressure bearing in the shaft which takes up the propeller pressure to push the boat forward.
