Two men were stranded at sea on Sunday morning (04 October) after their fishing boat capsized in fog off the Lincolnshire coast.

The men, who were both local to the area, experienced difficulty shortly after they had launched their boat.

The RNLI lifeboat at Skegness was launched at around 11am on Sunday and rescued the pair who had got stranded in fog.

Peter Sellers, visits officer at the lifeboat station, said: “There was a small boat overturned with two crew members on top.

“They were not too far out – they had only just recently launched, but it was foggy. We went out to rescue them. They are ok.
