The ultra-luxury mega yacht will keep two helicopters and a submarine onboard for passengers to use.

Australian based tour operator and river cruise line Scenic will launch an ultra-luxury motor yacht for trips to destinations around the world in 2018.

The group’s has recently-established an ocean cruise line whose first ship, Scenic Eclipse, will sail from Istanbul to Venice on her maiden voyage on August 31, 2018, followed by voyages to The Americas; Antarctica; Europe and the Mediterranean; and the Arctic and Norwegian Fjords.

A “six-star” ship, the luxury mega yacht will hold 228 passengers in balcony cabins ranging in size from the standard 344 sq. ft. verandah suites to a 2,500 sq. ft. two-bedroom owner’s penthouse suite.

Scenic Chairman Glen Moroney said in a statement: “Our goal with Scenic Eclipse was to open up the private Discovery Yacht experience so that our guests could discover regions previously only visited by a fortunate few.”

The yacht will have six restaurants onboard – from French cuisine to Pan Asian, Italian and steak house fare along with an al-fresco cafe on the pool deck. The ship also has a 5,000 sq. ft. spa with treatment rooms and indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis and plunge pools, as well as a gym with a separate yoga and Pilates studio.

Butler service is included in the price of the holiday, with a nearly 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio onboard. The mega yacht will have the highest passenger ship ice class rating available, as well – Polar Class 6 – making the trips to the polar regions safer.

For an extra touch of luxury, passengers can reach remote areas on land and at sea by using the ship’s two on-board helicopters or its seven-seat submarine. Rounding out the adventure offers are a fleet of Zodiac RIBs, kayaks and scuba diving and snorkelling equipment.
