Event organisers have confirmed that America’s Cup fans will be able to watch the racing from the water
Plans for on water spectator areas have been revealed by organisers of the America’s Cup World Series Portsmouth.
The news comes a few weeks after tickets for the four-day spectacle went on sale at the start of March.

In a graphic released today, two on water spectator areas can be seen on either side of the main racing area off Southsea Common, one for smaller boats less than 7m and one main spectator channel.
An exclusion zone will be in place around the race course to ensure perfect racing conditions are delivered to the teams, as well as keeping the sailors and spectators safe.
Organisers said in a statement: “The racing course will be dependent on the wind direction on each race day and will be refined and published closer to the event in the light of forecast winds.”
Three boat charter companies have also partnered with the event, meaning they’ll be offering the public the chance to get as close to the action as official event support boats.
Boat charter or hospitality spaces will be available through Sunsail, Marine Events and Solent Rib Charters.
For those who want to watch the action onshore, organisers are recommending that one of the best views will be from the main race village areas on Southsea Common, with onboard footage on large screens and live commentary adding to the experience.
