Police say they are still searching for missing boater Jason Westbourne, and have now released information about the boat he is believed to own.

Despite media reports, Devon and Cornwall Police say they are still looking for missing sailor Jason Westbourne.

The 50-year-old has not been seen for weeks, and officers have now issued an urgent appeal to find him.

Westbourne, who is from Torpoint, regularly sails around the south west coast is his 15-foot Rinker speedboat, Top Kat.

The open top vessel is white and has a “large outboard motor,” according to officers.

Devon and Cornwall Police have issued an urgent appeal to find missing sailor Jason Westbourne.

The 50-year-old, who comes from Torpoint in Cornwall, regularly sails around the coastlines of Dorset, Devon and Cornwall in a small boat.

Officers said they were becoming “increasingly concerned” about Westbourne, who may have travelled to the Dorset area.

They are asking water users to keep a look out for the sailor.

Westbourne is described as 5ft 10ins tall, with long, dark receding hair which is usually tied back in a ponytail.

The constabulary has also issued a photo of the sailor.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police are becoming increasingly concerned about Jason Westbourne who may have travelled to the Dorset area.”

“The 50-year-old is described as 5ft 10ins with long dark receding hair which is usually tied back in a ponytail.”

“He is likely to be using a small boat in and around the coastlines of Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. He may be known to his friends by various nicknames.”
