Leading worldwide manufacturer of charting software, Transas Dataco, will be launching their Issue 6 CD, that contain the latest new editions and updated charts added to their already existing 5,500 electronic charts. These fully vectorised charts can be used with their Coastal and Tsunamis ’99 Offshore software packages.

Tsunamis holds one of the most comprehensive catalogue of charts covering all the main navigable areas of the world. The launch of the Issue 6 CD sees the introduction of a number of popular new charts including New Zealand and Australia as well as some of the smaller ports worldwide that are necessary for the leisure boat owner.

The Tsunamis charting software can be loaded onto a PC to create a chartplotting facility, which allows the user to become fully conversant with chartplotting, route making and other functions with the comfort and familiarity of his own PC, at home or in the office, prior to going to sea. Installing the Tsunamis software onto a laptop will create a fully functional chartplotter that will provide considerable navigation information, which can be taken aboard any vessel with the advantage of being able to plan a route at home.
