Little America's Cup 2015, Port Noir, Geneva

Over in Geneva, a little bit of history is being made.

Preparations are hotting up for the 27th Littlecup in Port Noir, Geneva which runs from 12 – 20th September.

And, for the first time in the 44 year history of the Little America’s Cup, it’s being held on a lake.

Seven international teams specialising in flying boats are taking part, including the Canadian Rafale – ETS, the first student team to take part in the Little Cup challenge.

And if you fancy a jaunt to Geneva to watch the event, you’d be very welcome. A Littlecup Village has been built and will welcome visitor throughout the event.

The public will be able to access the facilities freely and follow the racing live from the water’s edge, as well as visiting the paddocks where teams prepare their boats.

The village is promised to be “fun and informative”, and is hoped to make the event accessible to the general public.

Those stuck at home can follow all the action via social media which wouldn’t be quite as much fun but, still, hats off to Geneva.
