The Monte Carlo Yachts CEO and General Manager of Bénéteau scooped the prestigious accolade at last night's event.

It was a night to remember for Carla Demaria at the Motor Boat Awards 2016.

The Chief Executive Officer of Monte Carlo Yachts, General Manager of Bénéteau and President of the Board of UCINA (Italian Yachting Federation) picked up the coveted Judge’s Special Award for her outstanding achievements in the industry.

After being presented with the award by Motor Boat & Yachting Editor Hugo Andreae and Deputy Editor Jack Haines, Ms Demaria, visibly excited and overjoyed about her win, gave an inspiring speech that moved and delighted the entire room at the Rosewood Hotel in central London.

As passionate about her work in the boating industry now as when she started in 1985, Demaria shows no sign of slowing down.

“As long as I keep learning I will not get old” were Monte Carlo Yachts’ CEO’s motivational words.

The night also saw Sealine being particularly pleased with their win. The boat manufacturers received the Sportscruiser Up To 45ft award for not one, but two of their craft, the Sealine S330 and C330.
