A boat was sent in to assist in the rescue of four motorcyclists who had abandoned their vehicles and become lost in Claerwen Reservoir, Powys, Wales.

The bikers from Kent were lost and disorientated  decided to walk out of the area.

Brecon Mountain Rescue Team were called by police shortly before midnight on Friday 11 September to assist in the rescue.

It took them three hours to find the missing bikers, who were cold and exhausted, and not able to walk back to safety.

Mid and West Fire and Rescue Service from Aberystwyth launched a boat from Claerwen dam which transferred the lost bikers 350 metres across the reservoir to the casualty site, from where they were evacuated via Land Rover.
