Its specialisation in the area of yacht insurance ensued after the division of the company into the independent Pantaenius GmbH & Co. KG, an expert broker of yacht insurance, and Pantaenius Versicherungsmakler GmbH, which provides cover in the traditional areas of personal and corporate insurance.
Pantaenius UK Limited was established in 1990 and the office has become very successful over the years and now employs 26 staff members, 50% of whom are regular sailors and approx 25% are yacht owners themselves.
The hands-on sailing experience of key staff, combined with specific training in insurance, ensures that your requirements are handled with professionalism and understanding. A particular feature is the ability to provide for long distance cruising supported by a network of experienced surveyors and a 24-hour emergency claims help-line manned by Pantaenius’ own staff. The Pantaenius Yacht Scheme clauses, designed by yachtsmen with yachtsmen in mind, are unique to the Company and provide more flexible and comprehensive cover for sailing and motor yachts valued from £15,000 to £100,000,000.
